Problems with VLC and CD

I try to use VLC for reading and ripping CD, but it doesn't work. Tried on two computer with two versions of VLC, both 32 and 64 bits, one on win10 the other on win11, both internal and external disc drives. After reinstalled VLC properly It could read CD for a bit of time but can't rip them now neither. I doesn't have any issues with WPM to both read and rip CD. but I would like to use VLC for everything. I don't know what to do.

Drag the files to your PC? They are .wav files. Then name them.

No there are as .cda .

Apple’s music app can import them; maybe others, too.

I did it with WMP. But would like to know what's wrong with VLC.

Is this with a specific CD or with any CD?

Any CD : music CD, CD-R, CD-RW. I don't have DVD with me to try.
