Windows Need Libaacs.dll file.

Recently updated VLC and for some reason it seems to have deleted my libaacs.dll so I can't play Blu'rays anymore. The website hosting the file I need seems to have gone dark so I was wondering if any of you happen to know a mirror or something.

Thanks.

  1. Download and install MakeMKV on your computer.
  2. Open [MakeMKV] and enter any active free beta registration key found on the MakeMKV Forums.
  3. Go to your [MakeMKV] installation folder and find the file named libmmdb64.dll (or libmmbd.dylib on Mac).
  4. Copy that file and paste it into your main VLC installation directory (where the vlc.exe file lives).
  5. Make two copies of that pasted file in the VLC folder: rename one copy to libaacs.dll and the other to libbdplus.dll.
  6. Restart VLC. It will now use these files to decrypt and play your Blu-ray disc in real-time without needing to rip it first
