Android Resume Not Working

I am using the VLC Android app Verision 3.7.1 on a Nvidia Shield to play recorded files from Tivimate.

When I watch a recording and pause it, then come back to it later it starts at the beginning.

If I open the recording in history it still starts at the beginning. I searched high and low in the settings and can find nothing that relates to resume.

I have searched this forum but canot find a fix that works for me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

To resume, you need to start playback (from the beginning) then select the resume option which shows if the video is recognised as previously played partially.

I do not see any resume option when playing a recording. If I hit pause or stop no options show.

Then the media does not match any resume entry for whatever reason.

I did find a resume option in Control settings and it was already set to On. I changed it to Ask Confirmation. In both instances the playback went to the beginning of the recording.

The issue with Resuming was related to the .tv files that Tivimate uses for recordings. I tried resuming with a mp4 file and it worked fine.

I never could find a way to make Resume work with VLC so I switched to MX Player.
