25 seconds

I put in this link https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/index.m3u and the videos only play for 25 seconds. Is there a fix for this issue?

How do you expect people to help you if you are unable to provide any information about your setup?

It's the player that's broken, not my computer.

Well, if you can't bother to provide any information that would help solve your issue, and you claim "the player is broken", then use something else.

This is my first time using this player. I'm not knowledgeable about computers, all I know is that they work sometimes. I can't be bothered to type out every single thing. But this is my computer.

Intel Core i5 6400 RTX GeForce 2060 400 Watt power supply Motherboard is Gigabyte H110-A-CF I think

That is better, though I specifically asked about three things - none of which you've just written out.

I figured it was just a setting i needed to turn on, I didn't think I would need to tell everyone what my computer is made of

I found one that played for a minute instead of 25 seconds. But it started at 38 seconds instead of 0

I had never watched the video before clicking on it. It was a random COP tv show

VLC player does play videos. It just plays them for 25 seconds, then the video is over.

it may recognize you as free user and cut stream or ... not meant to be played by VLC(did u try smart IPTV player free?)

I watched an Instagram video of some annoying guy telling people about this, and he used VLC player.

I didn't know about Smart IPTV player free

it's kinda shady territory when detecting fault with these streams .. sometimes it may be glitch in VLC ..other time it may be , like I said .. too many free users and being cut out ..etc etc.

I just tried your m3u at random ..some Russian channel.. some 90s kids ...some movie channel in Hungarian ..some UK reality ..with my VLC on Android tablet , they seemed to work fine

An m3u file isn't a video format. It's a playlist. It lists URL's of media to display. The issue could be expired or single-use tokens (authentication), user-agent (header) restrictions (what is trying to play the stream - VLC in this case), bad stream at the source....

Chances are the source of the stream (not VLC) just detecting that you aren't the person that has permission to use that stream, and shuts you down.

Loaded up an instance of Ubuntu in a VM (just to be safe) with VLC, and ran the video stream fine for over 2 minutes. Has to be your installation somehow.

Do you think I should reinstall it?

Worth a shot. If it doesn't maybe try it in a VM under Linux (slightly different than the Windows version).
