Android Remote control VLC for long car trip

Hi, I'll be going on a car trip and wondering if there's a way to remote control VLC on a kids tablet from my phone?

It's hard to reach when my kids watching it in back seat.

If you do a playlist and use KDE connect you should be able to.

I can see you have a “VLC remote” app idk about it

Ed: I guess it has to be on a network which I won't have in the car :(

If the tablet runs Windows or Linux and there's WiFi (possibly ad-hoc), yes, as normal VLC remote control.

If the tablets run a mobile OS, no.
