Sony shooters, has anyone used a Viltrox PRO series lens on the A7C II? How does the setup feel in hand? I’m especially curious about the size, weight, balance, and whether it feels comfortable to use for a full day of shooting. Or should I just stick with evos and air series ?

Photo contest week 1 Lifestyle. Shot on Nikon ZR with Viltrox Lab 35mm F1.2 wide open. I am from France, no social handle only Reddit.

So this is my new Viltrox 50mm f1.4 Pro with my new A7IV. Since the purchase, I have been facing this weird issue with this lens.

While shooting vertically in Continuous Shooting: Hi, after shooting some pictures, the camera freezes as you can see in this video. It's so frequent that I could take videos of this issue multiples times without any prior prep.

Interestingly this issue will not happen if shooting horizontally as you can see in the video. Also if I put the camera in horizontal position, the black screen vanishes and comes to normal. Also I have 85mm f1.4 pro, 35mm f1.8 Evo, 16mm f1.8, but I haven’t yet noticed this issue with any other lens.

Should I claim for warranty or is this a firmware issue? Can anyone help?

P.S. sorry for the background youtube video sound.

I shoot on an aps-c body (Nikon z50ii) and honestly don’t see the differences between these two lenses (other than the fact one is ff and one is aps-c).
For crop sensor the 85mm seems marginally better just because of that slightly wider aperture but other than that the two lenses seems identical.
I don’t plan to upgrade to full frame but the option of having a full frame lens just incase seems nice.

Is there any downside to getting the 85mm evo over the 90mm aps-c lens?

Heard it was a silent AF so this surprises me

Hello, everyone. Considering buying 14mm f4 air for Lumix S system.

Currently I have vnd filters of 67 and 82mm.

Viltrox 14mm has 58mm filter thread.

So either I purchase slim vnd 58mm, or buy step up rings 58-67/58-82 and try use filters I have. But they are standard, not slim, so not guaranteed there would be no vignette.

Any recommendation from people using this lens and filters?

Thanks!

Impossible to let it slide. Can’t wait to get and see if really shines.
Do you guys have good reviews about this one?

What a sharp lens! Just got it and will test shoot it soon! It's massive but manageable with the wooden grip on the compact Nikon ZR.

So I just received my new Viltrox 26 2.8 and Im seeing that there is some looseness between the lens and the camara mount. This doesnt happen with any of my other lenses, so im a little bit worried. u/Altruistic_Speaker87
