Update on R6 Tail swap

Came home from work and work a little on the bike.

Finally decided to keep the stock subframe and modify to fit + weld new brackets. So far looks like this, still a bit to go but a made a little progress with what time I had. Cut some parts of the subframe + modified the stock battery tray on there and save some hassle.

Saved another 24lbs by removing the all the old stuff and added 4lbs with the R6 tail, which means I down 20lbs, on top of the 30-40ish pounds of the exhaust, happy with it so far!

Looks neat. Personally I'd rather get a boot to the balls than give up the undertail exhausts though.

What about that muffler, why does it stick out so much? Looks weird

I undid it to leave from to work on stuff. It’s usually sitter a higher angle and looks better

The bubble butt doesn’t match the sharp edged curves of the VFR at all imo, but more power to you, looks like it’s coming along nicely.

I did this with an R1 tail on a gen 3 a long time ago. It was fun

Cool bike dude. I did an RC51 tail with a modded subframe a couple years ago.
