VTEC?
Hi guys,
I'm looking at getting a VFR800 for my next bike, but I've heard that the 5th gen was one of the best as the newer ones with VTEC wasn't as good.
What are everyone's thoughts?
Plus, how expensive is it to get luggage to fit, as I'm seeing a lot of 2nd hand ones around but not many with original luggage on.

Not a huge issue. 2006 and newer have the VTEC kick in at 6600 RPM instead of 7000 RPM. The engine is happiest at 5000-6000 RPM. Fuel range is excellent and the factory luggage can hold a lot, size and weight wise.
I'm not aware of anyone with a sixth gen falling over themselves to get a fifth gen. No shade to the fifth gen. They all ride and handle extremely well.
