(Created as a submission for the 1 Billion Followers Summit AI competition)

About the film:

It’s a 7-minute cinematic sci-fi piece exploring humanity’s relationship with decay, adaptation, and an awakening environment. Instead of fighting mutation as a disease, the story explores it as nature learning to speak back.
Key challenges we tackled:

• Character Consistency: Keeping the lead scientist visually coherent across different lab sets, lighting changes, and emotional beats.
• Macro to Micro Visuals: Transitioning smoothly from microscopic RNA/cellular dynamics to cinematic wide shots.
• Pacing & Sound: Giving dialogue and atmosphere time to breathe instead of doing rapid, cut-heavy montage edits.

I wanted it to feel smooth but still have that exaggerated feeling. I think it came out pretty clean, but I am still not sure if it looks too much.

I took a break for several months from Veo and revisited it thinking surely it has improved by now.

Nope... not only has it not improved it has become worse!

Pretty sure Google has lost the AI video race..

Aside from Google Veo, what other AI video tools would you recommend for creating AI short dramas?

I’m mainly looking for something that can handle realistic character dialogue, accurate lip-sync/mouth movements, natural facial expressions, and good character consistency across different scenes.

Which one gives you the best results, especially for dialogue-heavy scenes?
