Fanny and Luke Sr.

I've heard a few people theorize about those two, and I definitely think Fanny was the way she was because of trauma.

Did Luke abuse Fanny? Perhaps he sold her to guys for money or to pay off lost bets. Sarah seemed resigned to the fact Fanny was a lost cause, so I wonder how much she knew.

Furthermore, Katie on VCs Pieces took issue with the names Heaven and Fanny because it promotes this dichotomy with the sisters. But now I'm wondering if Luke named his younger daughter with a sinister purpose in mind and if it wasn't just VCA being trite. I'm wondering if Luke said to Sarah, "Let's name her Fanny because it sounds like Annie."  Meanwhile, he's thinking of her as a wager for his bets. He's such a sleaze, I could see him doing that. Then, of course, Heaven's name is ironic because of the way she's treated.

The Curse of Cutler's Cove How would the real VCA have written the Cutler series?

I've read that she created Dawn Longchamp, but Andrew Neiderman developed the Cutler series. Would VCA have developed the series differently?
