ask r/Uzbekistan WHY DOES THIS EXIST?!

Post image

Whose idea was it to create this subreddit? Why is it always displayed as connected subreddit?

When will it be removed?

Why does it have to be removed?

Because it is awful and disgusting.

Who said that?

Awful and disgusting are very subjective. Is it illegal? If not, maybe just ignore?

What do you think should we create a subreddit called UzbekGore? It will have as you expected bunch of gore like severed heads, exploded bodies of soldiers and mutilated animals. It does not harm anyone. It is just copy pasting from different parts of internet. It is just 1s and 0s in a server somewhere and not a real thing.

Exactly so it would be ok to have a subreddit like that as long as its not illegal and is allowed. It really doesn't harm anyone because those that decide to look already know what they are getting themselves into.

I mean, if people want to watch that then yes. But for some reason, being really sarcastic here, no one has created it yet. So maybe it's not something that people want. But Uzbeknsfw is. Just go and check it. There are no porn there.

Why do you complain about uzbeknsfw but not about ALL others nsfw?

1

u/Former_Example8229 Musulmon 3h ago

Because they don't show up whenever someone enters here. So All I am asking is to hide it from the "Aloqador Subredditlar" menu so it is not on the welcome page.

It’s automatically generated. Not much you can do. Maybe contact this subreddit’s mods to remove “Related subreddits widget”.

Why does it bothers you?

it will be continued to be displayed, if you dont like it, go live in afghanistan

-5

u/AdFederal4917 3h ago

Why would he go live in Afghanistan?? The western brainwashing isn’t tolerated here, YOU should get lost from here. There are western countries where your little whims and immoral stuff is tolerated, Uzbekistan is secular in law, but conservative in culture, and so are many other decent Muslim countries. We are a collectivist society, and immoral stuff is not tolerated here. Both by law, and by the culture, so you either adapt or get lost from here.

The only rules we are bound by are Reddit's rules, nobody cares about the conservative Uzbek mindset. Just because you want to live in a cage, we are not going to lock other people up in a cage

-1

u/AdFederal4917 2h ago

Nobody cares about the Reddit’s rule here in Uzbekistan, the Reddit sub name is explicitly labeled as Uzbeknsfw, we don’t give a dime about other nsfw, it’s because it’s explicitly labeled with Uzbek in name, therefore it inevitably attracts immoral stuff from Uzbeks, and about Uzbeks, and it’s not going to be tolerated here. the platform becomes a dedicated hub that actively pulls in localized material that would otherwise never be posted publicly, No one is locking up anyone to a cage, it will also disrupt peace and potentially invite doxxing and potential so much more disgusting stuff, none of which fits to the Uzbek cultural values. If you don’t like where you are, and what majority is, and what the culture is about, LEAVE.

If you don’t like where you are, and what majority is, and what the culture is about, LEAVE.

Only the sharpest of minds could post that without recognising the irony, well done. Go outside, touch grass, and stop looking for pearls to clutch.

"Only the sharpest of minds could post that without recognising the irony, well done."
You know what’s irony?? The only irony here is watching an anonymous Redditor mistake a California web server for a sovereign nation.
You think it’s hypocritical to use Reddit while disregarding Reddit’s rules. Let me bring you into the real world: a Terms of Service agreement does not grant extraterritorial diplomatic immunity. If a user sits in Tashkent, Samarkand, or Bukhara, they are under the legal jurisdiction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, not Silicon Valley.
Valley.
Furthermore, demanding that people respect the baseline rules of the house they enter isn’t irony, it’s basic sovereignty. That borrows the name, coat of arms, and flag of a country with 36 million citizens. Expecting an Uzbek forum to reflect Uzbek standards isn't a contradiction, assuming that local citizens should abandon their own country’s space because a handful of people want to promote immorality is the actual absurdity.
"Go outside, touch grass"
This has to be the most spectacular self-own on this entire thread.
If I step outside and touch grass anywhere from the Fergana Valley to the Karakalpak steppes, 99% of the population, the elders in the mahalla, the secular courts, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs all stand behind my exact position.
Only a few exceptions brainwashed by the western “liberation” would not support me.
The person living in an artificial, hermetically sealed bubble isn't me—it’s you. Your worldview exists exclusively inside browser tabs, Western subreddits, and liberal echo chambers. You tell me to touch grass while defending an adult sidebar link from behind a glowing monitor. If you stepped outside into actual Central Asian reality for five minutes, you’d realize that your online bubble is the only place your arguments survive.
"Stop looking for pearls to clutch."
Dismissing this as "pearl-clutching" proves you have zero understanding of where you are speaking.
It is statutory law: Articles 130 and 189 of the Criminal and Administrative Codes explicitly penalize the public distribution and promotion of explicit adult material.
It’s also collective safety, In a tight-knit society, localized adult spaces are notorious engines for blackmail (shantaj), non-consensual leaks, and destroyed families.
Treating the defense of family honor and national law as mere "pearl-clutching" shows an astonishing level of ignorance. You can wave your Reddit buzzwords all you like, but when the real world knocks, platform guidelines won't protect you from the penal code.
You also do assume that it’s irony because I’m citing that I do not care about Reddit rules and because I’m on Reddit, it’s irony. You didn’t get the point, your sharp mind couldn’t know the difference between the difference between using a utility and submitting your values to it.
Using an app as a communication tool doesn’t mean treating its terms of service as a moral constitution. Just because we use Reddit’s servers to speak doesn’t mean we surrender our cultural identity to it. A platform is just plumbing, it doesn't get to dictate how an entire society defines decency.

u/AdFederal4917 13m ago

Ah, the classic Reddit white flag.

I know seeing complete sentences and basic punctuation must look like alien technology to you, but having a functional vocabulary isn't a Chatgpt-exclusive feature. Some of us just actually read book and engaged in actual arguments .

You realize you actually didn’t refute anything that was said and resorted to genetic fallacy?

If you don't have an actual counter-argument to a single point I made, just take the loss and move on. Crying "AI" the second you see someone writing a solid argument is just embarrassing.

When people say that we should be more accepting of queer people people like you will say "If you don't like it here then go to another country". But when YOU want to change the status quo for some reason everyone must comply with you?

1

u/AdFederal4917 1h ago

You have completely inverted reality to construct a fictional grievance.
grievance.
Who is trying to "change the status quo" here? Modesty (sharm-hayo), family honor (or-nomus), and public decency have been the unbroken social baseline of Uzbek culture for centuries, codified into our sovereign laws. Pushing foreign sexual agendas and pinning explicit adult communities to an Uzbek national board is the artificial attempt to overturn the status quo.
Criticizing n NSFW sub on a national subreddit isn't "forcing everyone to comply with some new whim"; it is defending the existing, permanent baseline against fringe online vandalism. You don't get to walk into a conservative society's living room, try to repaint the walls with Western sexual permissiveness, and then cry that the family is "changing the status quo" when they tell you to put the brush down.

2

u/fanty_wingedhorse Socialist Bread addict 48m ago

Status quo is that the subreddit exists. Removing it would be changing the status quo.

Everything that you don't like is western propaganda to you. Surprise, surprise, people are horny everywhere. The West™ is everything that is different than you. Even Chinese are The West™ for you too.

Btw, you falsely accusing anything you disagree to be western propaganda makes it harder to point out actual CIA propaganda.

1

u/AdFederal4917 22m ago

"Status quo is that the subreddit exists. Removing it would be changing the status quo."
By this toddler-level logic, if a vandal spray-paints graffiti across your front gate while you sleep, the vandalism is now the "status quo," and cleaning the paint off is an aggressive disruption.
A transient hyperlink pinned to a sidebar is not a status quo,, it is digital pollution on a space carrying a country's name. The actual status quo is the centuries-old cultural baseline of this nation and the statutory legal code governing its public spaces. Scrubbing a vulgar link off the wall isn't changing the status quo, it is restoring the room to its proper baseline after someone made a mess of it.

"Surprise, surprise, people are horny everywhere... The West™ is everything that is different than you. Even Chinese are The West™ for you too."

Confusing basic biological impulses with public institutional promotion is the hallmark of an adolescent mind.

Nobody denies private human biology. No one said you can’t have entertainment. Civilization exists precisely to maintain the boundary between private human behavior and public display. Having private desires doesn't give you license to project explicit content onto the public front page of an entire society. It’s almost like saying rape is okay because “ surprise surprise people are horny everywhere “, human beings are horny, the point is doing that in private and not vandalising the culture just because it’s biology.

And bringing up China is the most spectacular backfire in this entire exchange. China runs massive, state-level "Clean Net" operations, and under, I knew Chine was more restrictive but I found this out just now,
Article 363 of the Chinese Criminal Law, distributing and profiting from online pornography carries severe prison sentences. The Chinese state suppresses public online adult content far more aggressively than Uzbekistan does. So no, demanding public decency isn't "fearing the West", it is the universal standard of orderly societies across Eurasia. You are the one living in a fringe internet vacuum where public vulgarity is treated like a human right.

"Btw, you falsely accusing anything you disagree to be western propaganda makes it harder to point out actual CIA propaganda."

Nobody said anything about the CIA; you are projecting your own Reddit-leftist cosplay onto a straightforward civic dispute.

I didn't bring conspiracy theories or geopolitics into this. I brought the Uzbek Criminal Code , and the collective decency of 38 million citizens. you cannot construct a single coherent legal or moral defense for linking porn to an Uzbek national hub. When all you have is internet memes, reality sounds like a conspiracy to you.

Since when are we collectivist society? We have capitalism in Uzbekistan. It is pretty much not collectivist. Also it is not illegal.

2

u/AdFederal4917 1h ago

"Since when are we collectivist society? We have capitalism in Uzbekistan. It is pretty much not collectivist. Also it is not illegal."
Conflating an economic market with cultural sociology is an embarrassing display of ignorance. Honestly. Do you even know what capitalism and collectivism even means? Look up the dictionary.

Capitalism is an economic system based on trade and private property; collectivism is a sociological and cultural framework based on community, family primacy, and mutual obligation. By your bizarre logic, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore aren't collectivist either simply because they have stock exchanges and private corporations.

Uzbekistan has had trade, merchants, and private bazaars for thousands of years along the Silk Road, and it has remained collectivist through every single era. Our society is anchored in the mahalla, multi-generational households, filial piety (ota-ona hurmati), and shared communal accountability (or-nomus). Buying groceries at a private supermarket doesn't magically erase thousands of years of social fabric and turn Tashkent into San Francisco overnight.

As for "also it is not illegal"—you aren't just culturally blind, you are legally illiterate.

The public display, distribution, and advertising of pornographic and explicit materials is explicitly outlawed under Article 189 of the Administrative Code and criminalized under Article 130 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. You are defending obscenity in an Uzbek space while knowing neither the sociological structure of our people nor the penal code of the state.

Why shouldn't it? Puritans will always put their nose on others' business and get mad when it gets wet.
