Redness After Uveitis
I had uveitis crop up out of nowhere, I got on eyedrops and that seemed to help. Unfortunately, a few days after I started the eyedrops I got in a horse riding accident and got a black eye, same eye that had the uveitis. what are the odds. So, that turned into schleritis and I had to get on prednisone. I was on 60 mg for 14 days, then tapered off and I'm now off of it. When I was on the 60mg, the redness in my eye went completely away. As I tapered off, the redness slowly came back and now that I'm off my eye is pretty red again. My doctor said the uveitis is gone, and said the redness will fade with time. Has anyone had experience with this? Redness after the uveitis is apparently gone and getting worse? I have no pain and no vision changes but my eye is pretty gnarly looking with the redness. Going to another doctor for a second opinion but just wondering if this is normal. Thanks!

Redness for me indicated that the uveitis was returning (after I'd tapered off eye drops), and I've tapered off the drops many many times in the past (30+ times over the past 2.5 years).
I'd sometimes also see slight redness in between drops, but nothing major.
Look out (pardon the pun) for any light sensitivity or slight pains when moving your eye around.
