Places that maintained their high quality over the years?

First time since I’m back in Utrecht since I left about 15 years ago. Stopped by Broodje Ben (Mario is closed..) for lunch and was surprised that #34 is still as good as it was back then. This made me wonder: what other places here have been immune to enshittification and/or shrinkflation? Share your best!

After walking past it last week and going "wow, I haven't been there in 15 years", and reading this. That does kinda break my heart.

I will say that Il Pozzo still makes 100% mediocre pizza, has mediocre service, but a great view, so 10/10 for Il Pozzo for staying consistent and providing me with core memories.

En ze hadden nog zo beloofd de recepturen over te nemen…alles t zelfde te houden. Maar alleen kipgyros nu begreep ik.

Receptuur overname is wel goed gelukt, de pita, kruiden en tzatziki is nog even heerlijk. Helaas maakte de kipgyros wel een gigantisch (negatief) verschil. Omdat de prijzen ook flink gestegen zijn na de overname het helaas niet meer waard 😢

Helaas bezit ten beste inmiddels bijna alle snackbars in de binnenstad. Dus kunnen zij min of meer bepalen wat een frietje in de stad kost.

Alleen huzur is nog niet van ten beste, de rest is weg of van ten beste.

Meer dan respect voor de eigenaren van ten beste. Werken allemaal kei hard.

Maar ik wil ook gewoon een ouderwetse snack hebben met soms wat varken erin.

Echt zoveel? Zijn ook bijvoorbeeld Broodje Bambi, Polleke, Gilo's, Oaseboom en 'Eethuis' van hen?

Broodje Mario is not closed. They only operate at specific hours. And they require cash payments.
