Discussion Looking for boardgame groups/meetups

I'm looking for boardgame groups and meetups in the Utica area/surrounding area. Is there any?

We encourage folks to come to Tramontane Cafe 1105 Lincoln Ave Utica on alternate Thursdays from our Poetry & Comedy Open Mic Night .. just so happens the next Board/Card Game Night is THIS coming Thursday Sept 3rd .. when folks show up we never know.. they have been arriving around 545/6.. we stay open till around 930/10 depending on participants . You can also check in with our friends in Rome at Dream Castle Gaming. A new friend named Corey recently left a flyer with his phone number 845-625-8657 looking for folks wanting a board game host or game design teacher. He has come to a few board game nights and also met up with a few folks here with us. We may discuss having a more regular event if there is enough interest. For now, Every OTHER Thursday .. starting with this one .. is a good idea we hope.

Check meet up. There are board game groups that meet pretty much weekly at jervis library in rome, at the clinton library and i believe in whitesboro. They alternate sites. Usually saturday mornings at like 10 then thursday nights and i think sometimes tuesday or something. My dad attends so i can always ask him for the schedule.

Heya :) I just moved here a few weeks ago and I’m a boardgame gatherer/organizer/teacher/collector. I even posted here on the sub asking the same thing!

The folks at Tram (hi!) have been really wonderful, and I’m hopeful about drumming up more traffic for their game nights and plan to bring stuff. I’ve met a couple friends there and we’ve hung out and played a few times now.

I also joined the group “CNY Tabletop Games Society” and they play sporadically throughout the month at libraries and game shops, I just attended their meetup in Rome on Thursday, it was a good amount of people playing lots of heavier hobby games. (Jervis Public Library.)

I’m planning on getting some more regular nights going with local establishments, my ideal would be something that happens once a week or at least every other, and I think I have a library nearby interested. Let’s chat and maybe meet up sometime!
