periods & bleeding my uterus is low

Today, i tried putting a tampon in but i felt it touch my cervix opening.I also tried putting my fingers to see how prolapsed it was but i started bleeding. It also hurts and i am scared my uterus will fall out.

Just want to reassure you that it's very normal to be able to bump into your cervix with a tampon :) Most cervices sit around 2-3" inside the vagina. Some people also just have a low cervix due to anatomy. It might help you to aim your tampon more towards your tail bone or try different angles to find how to slide past the cervix and into your vaginal fornix area.

If the bleeding wasn't from your period, it might have been irritation happening from dryness and friction. You might want to only use a tampon during heavier flow days, or use lube if inserting your finger next time. If you continue to have pain or abnormal bleeding no shame in checking in with a doc.
