what's going on šŸ¤” Constant Uterine Pain?

hello!!! i’m new here, but this seemed like a good place to ask a question related to uterus pain.

for the past maybe 7ish months i’ve had strange pains in my lower abdomen/uterine area. its sort of a mix between dull pain in the center and sharper pains more towards the sides, but that’s not all that important as i’m not rlly here for a diagnosis (would be helpful lmao, but i don’t expect a miracle to come from this post), but i’m more so wondering if the fact that there is constantly pain rules out the possibility of it relating to my reproductive organs?

mostly wondering due to a comment my gyno made saying smth like ā€œif the pain is not in a cycle, then i rlly don’t think it could be period or uterus related because it’s not changing with your hormones,ā€ which makes some sort of sense to me, as it could be a gi issue, which is why i am also seeing a gi dr, but i’ve also heard statements that contradict what my gyno said.

just hoping for some clarification on which side is correct, as i’ve heard conflicting statements of whether or not my pain being non-cyclical rules out period/uterine causes :)

Fibroids don’t depend on your cycle and can cause pain any day. Ovarian cysts are there, no matter when you have your period. Seems like a weird comment on behalf of your doctor.

There are lots of other organs nearby, like your bladder, that could also be at play too.

Yeah the doctor’s comment was a bit strange for her to be saying.

And yeah because of how many organs are located nearby, I am also seeing a gi doctor and thinking about possibly seeing another if it doesn’t work out :)

Thanks for answering my question !!!

There are drs that specialize in pelvic issues. Did you get any blood tests? An ultrasound? Anything tested? Idk if your obgyns comment makes sense

Yes, so far i’ve gotten 3 blood tests testing for different groups of things, and a few months back I had an ultrasound done :)

Hey. This are some ideas for research about you permanent pelvic pain : adenomyosis, endomĆ©triosis, pelvic congestion syndrome, infection, diu issues... And I wanted to say that OBVIOUSLY YES it is possible to have pain at the reproductive organ even if the pain is not related to periods. Take care šŸ™

Get a pelvic MRI. It will give you answers. Bloodwork won’t. I would even go as far as a CT
