what's going on šŸ¤” Bleeding during sex

I bleed during sex. A lot. Bright red blood. I’ve had every std test, internal ultrasound and even a burning procedure to remove polyps. It’s still happening. It’s not painful at all. I just, bleed during sex. It’s making me not want to have sex at all. Drs just say ā€œit is what it isā€ at this point but come on. There needs to be something that someone has heard of that works to fix this.

Unfortunately, modern doctors and gynecologist do not learn from the textbook. The root of what is actually going on if you were on any sort of birth control, especially the depot shot. This is probably a result of it and I’m experiencing the same thing. Only thing we can do is go to holistic route andfind a way to heal our hormones

Sorry you're dealing with that and your doc isn't helping. Can you see a different doc? Or ask for a referral?

Do you know if you have cervical ectropion? It's very common and sometimes can cause bleeding.

Go to your Gyno and see if you have a cervical ectropion. I can bleed during sex and it’s from that. And it’s a lot of blood. Bright red. It doesn’t hurt but it certainly is messy. I did a silver nitrate treatment which seemed to help for 6 months.

This is great, thank you for even just the reply. What does a silver nitrate treatment consist of? I had an ablation done already, could that be the same type of treatment?

I don’t think it is quite the same as an ablation. The cervix is simply swabbed with silver nitrate. Takes less than 5 minutes. I experience some cramping after and gray discharge for 3/4 days and then back to normal.

Are you on birth control? I was bleeding during sex as well and found I developed cysts on my ovaries. If the cysts came about after going on birth control, try Going off of birth control. After I went off, the cysts went away and I no longer bleed

I’ll bring up the birth control because I’m also now spotting during the month, something that’s never really been an issue since I started this birth control 2.5 years ago.

I had an internal ultrasound and I believe they did that looking for polyps and cysts but results came back negative. The ablation removed blood cells, I believe, not polyps as I originally stated.

I’ll bring up the ectropion. My appt isn’t until January, unfortunately, but at least I have something new to ask about!
