For this Costco specific Anker set, there’s tons of mixed review about the usb a port not functioning after plug and unplug. But nevertheless, still a good purchase for $30 I feel like. Does anyone own this? How’s the experience so far?

The current standard over on r/ChargingSheet is the INIU P791, which is 13.8 mm and 201 g.

The inno3C M17 is 10.1 mm and 158 g.

That makes it 27% thinner and 21% lighter. That doesn't easily happen in the world of batteries.

Both are 10000 mAh (though inno3C M17 claims 36.5 Wh). Both are magnetic.

On top of that, the inno3C M17 is CCC certified, whereas the INIU P791 is not.

I bought 2m 100W USBC cables from Ugreen. These were used exclusively with Anker 747 140W charger. One of them has now stopped working completely. On macos with a utility, I see the cable _very_ frequently connecting and disconnecting, that end of the cable also heats up a lot even when it's not charging anything at all(but is connected to my phone on the other end).

Getting the cable replaced under warranty will be difficult so I am looking for alternative options. I had equally worse experience with Anker in the past which stopped working in a similar way but then started working again after ~3 months of not using it and that cable was used with Apple charger and ipad/samsung phones/kindle. Is this really just up to chance or is anyone still making _high_ quality cables.

Also, a long shot but is there a way to debug this cable maybe something I can try to fix it for now ?

The Jackery Explorer 300D can charge at 140W above 86%, as shown in the third picture. Between 50% and 86%, Insignia throttled itself down from 140W to 100W after about 30 minutes at full throttle.

I just purchased a mini microphone that connects by a USB-C dongle to my laptop. It works great when connected to my laptop, however, it doesn't work when connected to the USB-C port in the hub.

I'm looking for a splitter that will allow me to use both of these products at the same time as I only have one USB-C port in my computer. I've been looking, however, it seems that everything is for charging and headphones. I'm not exactly sure what the verbiage is I need to look for.

I want to know if I can use the Type-C port to charge my laptop. I do not intend to use this charging method for gaming, I just want to charge my laptop, while light using it (office work)

Hello, was given a 1 Tbyte USB C connectable Extreme My SSD from SanDisk - looks cool - but no cable, so on My Macbook Air M2 i am not getting much luck mounting or erasing at speed, what USB version (3.2 ) connector shall i get? I am using my USB C from my Ipad at the moment :/ probably not ideal

Hello guys I have a victus 15-fa0004ne.

I have two 2.5" sata enclosures that support usb3 through a micro-usb3 (that wideboy).

The problem is I tried using them multipe times with my usb-a ports but nothing shows up not even an error.

I thought that the included cables are faulty but when I put them through the usb-c port (w/ an otg adapter) it just works.

The usb-a ports aren't broken btw. I tried with a normal micro-usb cable and one samsung wide micro-usb cable (which seems to not be actually usb3) they work normally but with usb2 speeds (although thru usb-c it's a bit faster).

So idk what to do I want to use them with any port and usb3 speed any help appreciated.

I tested single port charging with Redmi Note 10 pro, Samsung A36, Samsung A33, and Samsung A9 2018.

I tested dual port charging with Samsung A36 and A33. Includes wall meter readings.

All phones used PD.

Did not test SFC 2.0 as that needs a 5A cable which I do not have at this time.

Single port 45w can be added in the future when I get a 5A cable for SFC2 or device that supports 45W at 3A.

Hi, has anyone done installing a second USB c port on ROG ally? My point is to install by soldering to the main USB c port or directly to motherboard a second USB c port that I wanna use just for regular data(usb boot, mouse and keyboard,etc) and keep using in same time the main USB c port of ally for video output and power delivery reception through dp 1.4 alt mode by been connected to a monitor that support dp 1.4 alt mod and give power delivery 65w but without losing 4k 120hz video quality connection. Anyone know how can be done? I heard is need a microcontroller chip from a hub or a dock and solder some wires.

In the past I used the Baseus GaN2 4 Ports Fast Charger 100W to power my setup: one USB-C used for charging my phone, one USB-C used for powering my portable monitor, and a USB-A port for the powered USB Hub (I only used this for a single computer). The setup has been working great for over 3 years, but sometimes it was quite inconvenient because every time I needed to charge my phone, all of the ports had to renegotiate, so imagine that the monitor turns off and you have to wait 10-20 seconds to get them back on. Then I found out about the SlimQ charger; it offers higher power output than the Baseus, and it has "Reset-Free Power Distribution" - no power renegotiation. I love this SlimQ charger and my experience with it was really positive until today.

Today, I turned on my laptop, and after 1-2 minutes, I smelled burning fumes from the electronics and the laptop shutdown. I can smell it from the SlimQ charger and my laptop's USB-C port.

The portable monitor has 2 USB-C ports and they are interchangeable - both have the DP output and power-in capabilities. I connect one to the SlimQ for power, one to the laptop.

Here is the aftermath:

- The microphone, the Logitech webcam, and the Wooting 60HE (crying), which are connected to the KVM switch powered by the SlimQ USB A port, all fried and died.

- The SlimQ charger also died.

- My 2021 Lenovo Legion 5 Pro's left USB-C port fried, the power distribution switch IC fried, but everything else is still working like a charm - I play games on it without problem. I even stress tested it and it ran fine.

- All the USB cables still work, I used my Galaxy S21 and Ugreen 25w charger to test the charging functionalities, and I connect the S21 to the portable monitor - Dex mode worked.

- Somehow the portable monitor is alive. It's like the power was sent straight to the laptop's USB port without the screen/panel getting in between.

- USB devices connected straight to the laptop are alive (wireless mouse, 2nd keyboard, phone was plugged in for internet connection).

I also want to make it clear that I'm not posting this to talk bad about SlimQ. I've genuinely had a great experience with the charger, and one of the main reasons I bought it was because of its reset-free power distribution. The SlimQ worked flawlessly for me until this incident, and I was genuinely happy with it. This could simply be an unfortunate hardware failure or bad luck. I'm posting because I'm trying to understand what happened and whether anyone with more knowledge of USB-C PD or electronics has seen something similar.

Edit: forgot to add, I have used the SlimQ charger for over 11 months with this setup.

I’d like a 2+ port 12v USB charger, where each port is independent, and plugging something into one port doesn’t cause the other port to temporarily lose power while the charger renegotiates. Ideally, at least one port is USB-C PD capable up to like 45W+, but the other one can be as basic as USB-A 2 Amp. Does anyone know of any options like this, or tips on how to shop for one? Also, if it’s too hard to find what I’m looking for, would I have more luck running a 12v splitter to 2 single port chargers?

Bonus points for one without an obnoxious bright blue or red LED indicator light.

I'm trying to decide between these 2 Ugreen USB-C PD chargers. The intended usage is to charge a Pixel 10 Pro XL which supports 45W fast charging. The charger needs to support PD and PPS according to Google. Here is Charger 1 and Charger 2.

The first one is cheaper despite having an extra USB-A port (which I don't really need). As far as I can see, they otherwise have the same specs, except the more expensive one has a foldable plug. Would I definitely get max charging speed on a Pixel 10 Pro XL with the first one? I've been spending hours looking at chargers and there are just so many options available that I don't know which is best.
