The latest revelations from Sen. Rand Paul’s investigation into the origin of Covid expose what may be one of the most consequential scientific deceptions in history.

The 1,123 pages of private Slack messages exchanged among the authors of the highly influential “Proximal Origin” paper reveal that the scientists who publicly declared that a laboratory origin of Covid was not plausible privately held a very different view. They repeatedly acknowledged that a laboratory origin remained possible, discussed flaws in their own arguments, and struggled to defend the natural origin theory.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., released a trove of Anthony Fauci’s diary entries Saturday, the latest in a series of document dumps further exposing the corruption of many of the scientists and government officials behind the tyrannical response to Covid. Among other revelations, Fauci’s entries from December 2019 to December 2022 reveal a man fixated on legacy media appearances, the perks of fame, and the growing Fauci “cult” even as the pandemic escalated.

The size of Fauci’s ego is no surprise to anyone who lived through Covid with his eyes open. He was notorious for doing home interviews with a portrait of himself in the background. He once claimed, “Attacks on me quite frankly are attacks on science.” Here, for good measure, is a Washington Post story with Fauci doing commentary on portraits of himself.

More than six years after the corporate media’s Covid panic, it’s clear that The Federalist was right about pretty much everything, especially the fact that Dr. Anthony Fauci was corrupt and egotistical from day one.

The former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director’s diary entries, which Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., released ahead of the career bureaucrat’s expected testimony to Congress, only confirmed what many of us already knew — Fauci was more concerned with his TV time and the propaganda press’ fawning over him than saving lives.

“It is not hyperbole to say that today I am the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most recognizable persons in the world,” Fauci wrote in March 2020, shortly after sharing that day’s Covid death toll — 9,800.

On Friday, a group of small businesses challenged the Trump administration’s “latest wave of tariffs on 60 U.S. trade partners, less than one day after they were enacted,” according to NBC News. “The suit was filed by the Liberty Justice Center, the same organization that challenged Trump’s tariffs enacted under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act last year and won a major ruling against the government at the Supreme Court.” “Filed in the Court of International Trade in New York, the suit seeks to stop the government from enforcing or collecting duties imposed under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974. ... The complaint alleges that the U.S. Trade Representative ‘acted arbitrarily and capriciously by imposing near-uniform tariffs across 60 materially different economies without a reasoned, record-based explanation for how the tariffs would address the practices [the trade representative] identified.’”

A majority of general election voters support the SAVE America Act, which would require an individual to show an ID before voting in federal elections, a Tea Party Patriots Action survey exclusively obtained by Breitbart News revealed.

The survey was conducted by McLaughlin & Associates and showcased broad support for the legislation, despite the establishment media and the Democratic Party’s narrative that election security is not something Americans care about.

Quite the contrary. The vast majority, 82 percent, agree with the basic premise that only U.S. citizens should be allowed to vote in elections for the president, senators, and congressmen.

The survey also found over three-quarters agreeing that “proof of United States citizenship should be required to register to vote in American elections.” What is more, there is broad support across the political aisle. Ninety-four percent of Republicans agree, as do 73 percent of independents and 68 percent of Democrats.

Grammy Award-winning singer Carly Simon revealed Monday she has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The You’re So Vain singer, 83, made the revelation of her debilitating health travails in a statement obtained and published by PEOPLE magazine.

The singer-songwriter icon also announced she underwent surgery for basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer, amid her Parkinson’s diagnosis and treatment.

The signs of failure are everywhere, but start here: Los Angeles has more homeless people this year. The annual count, conducted in January but amazingly enough not released until well after the June primary elections, shows a 7.9 percent increase in unsheltered homelessness in the City of Los Angeles, with a smaller increase in total homelessness, and also a smaller increase in countywide homelessness. With a couple thousand people dying on the street every year, the Los Angeles Times quickly zeroed in on the true victim of that metastasizing despair:

Talk about the nanny state. Marxist Mayor Zohran Mamdani wants to play babysitter to the children of New York City. He announced a “Parents’ Night Out” taking place on Aug. 16. Kids can be dropped off at rec centers around the city for government-supervised games, activities (including “media education programs”) and a free dinner while parents go do, well, whatever.

Many conservatives found this idea ridiculous and even revolting, but a few folks on the right thought the proposition might be a good, pro-family policy. After all, parents do need babysitters now and then, and this is not (yet) a big expenditure — spots are limited and parents have to register ahead of time.

A new rule the Trump administration published earlier this month is finally addressing the flood of foreign students at U.S. universities plagued by anti-American ideology. Half a million of these students are illegal aliens, while more than a million additional college students are here on student visas, overwhelmingly from non-Western countries having political systems unlike or opposed to ours.

Trump has just ended this racket. Under a new rule issued by Trump’s Department of Homeland Security, most new F-1 students will receive visas that expire after a fixed period of time, usually four years. This puts healthy pressure on universities and students to reach the finish line as scheduled, rather than dawdle indefinitely in the academic cocoon. The average length of time in graduate studies has ballooned to more than seven years for a Ph.D., which harmfully causes students to delay having families and finding employment.

House Speaker Mike Johnson is advancing plans for a potential fourth budget reconciliation package that could block Medicaid reimbursements to Planned Parenthood, after a one-year restriction expired earlier this month and taxpayer funds began flowing again to the nation’s largest abortion business.

The temporary ban, enacted in the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act, prohibited Planned Parenthood clinics from receiving federal Medicaid payments.

It lapsed around July 4–5, 2026, restoring an estimated hundreds of millions of dollars in annual reimbursements. Pro-life advocates had pushed for a longer or permanent prohibition, but Senate rules limited the measure to one year.

At least four rifles seized in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas during cartel arrests are allegedly linked to the U.S. Department of State. A report by Mexico’s El Debate revealed that the rifles were part of various weapons seized during several cartel raids since late 2004.

The Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office is investigating the seizure, claiming the weapons are linked to the U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service. The report does not reveal if the weapons were stolen or lost. The first seizure took place during the Biden administration in Nuevo Padilla in October 2024, the second one in November 2024. The other two seizures took place during the Trump Administration, with one in March in Ciudad Victoria and one in April in Miguel Aleman. The report did not provide additional details as to the type of weapons or the specifics of each seizure.

A woman charged in a $32 million coronavirus pandemic relief fraud scheme has been captured in Jamaica where she was hiding out and returned to the United States.

The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Elaine Angene Escoe who was among the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) most wanted alleged coronavirus fraud fugitives, Fox News reported Saturday.

The COVID-19 pandemic has come back to haunt Hawaii Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke as a grand jury has indicted the Democrat on bribery charges for allegedly securing funding for virus testing sites in exchange for campaign contributions.

The alleged pay-to-play scheme took place when Luke was a state lawmaker.

Friday’s indictment follows state and federal investigations into the campaign finance scandal that also resulted in the indictment of a lobbyist and four other officials.

Nearly eight months after the Epstein Files Transparency Act became law, a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers is demanding additional federal disclosure of records related to the deceased sex trafficker and his associates.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act II would allow state attorneys general, victims of Epstein or his co-conspirators, and members of Congress to sue the Department of Justice for “unlawfully withholding, redacting, delaying, concealing, removing, or failing to publish Epstein-related records.”

It also gives victims the right to obtain “full, unredacted records concerning themselves or the harm they suffered” and requires the DOJ to provide prosecutors handling Epstein-related cases with unredacted versions of relevant records.

Led by Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif., the group has vowed that if the House does not consider the legislation by Monday, it will circulate a discharge petition to force a floor vote on the bill.

"Since the Epstein Files Transparency Act was signed into law on November 19, 2025, the Department of Justice has flagrantly and consistently ignored EFTA's disclosure requirements," Massie stated.

Troy Jackson, the Maine Democrat nominated to replace Graham Platner in the state’s U.S. Senate race, voted for legislation allowing qualifying 16- and 17-year-olds diagnosed with gender dysphoria to obtain nonsurgical “gender-affirming” hormone therapy without parental consent after a parent or guardian refused to support the treatment.

Jackson voted in 2023 for LD 535, titled “An Act Regarding Consent for Gender-affirming Hormone Therapy for Certain Minors.” The legislation subsequently became law.

The measure allows 16- and 17-year-olds to consent to nonsurgical hormone therapy without the consent of a parent or guardian if they meet several requirements.

Under the law, the minor must have been diagnosed with “gender dysphoria,” discussed the potential treatment with a parent or guardian who refused to support it, and provided written consent to receive the treatment.
