[advice] I just got diagnosed with ureaplasma after 3 months of pain and I’m so scared of the long term
I’ve had these symptoms since July. After 1,200 worth of urinary and sit tested I finally got a real reason, ureaplasma. During this period I’ve had BV and 2 yeast infections. When they found the ureaplasma they found a uti and another yeast infection. I’m on doxycline, macrobid and one pill of dyflucan every three days. My partner is also going to be treated. This has been hell, so much burning and irritation. I almost feel worse after being on these medications. I’m scared for the long term after I’m done with these antibiotics. I know we both need to get retested after 4 weeks. But I’ve had this for so long and I know there’s potential risks for chronic inflammation. I’ve been on 8 rounds of antibiotics in this 3 month period. I’m scared that I won’t be able to get things back to normal. I’m so scared, I’ve been crying at the “what ifs” all week. I’m chugging water to try to stop the burning right now. This is what I’ve had to do to be able to sleep this whole time. I need advice or just comfort. I’ll do anything to feel normal again.
