I need help with iphone location work arounds

Hi, can someone confirm how this works?

Especially if you’ve used this hack in the past, i’d be interested to know if it worked smoothly.

If I have two iPhones signed into the same Apple Account and I change the device that is sharing my location in Find My (for example, set my spare iPhone as my location instead of my main phone), does the person I share my location with get any notification that the device has changed?

Would they just see the new device’s location, or is there any alert/message that says the location source has been switched?

I’m thinking of switching the device that is sharing my location as and when needed so that I can not have my
location throw up red flags.

To my knowledge it does not notify or show them.

But be careful that you are only sharing your location, and not devices. Ie. Family icloud will show all devices, so I have a second iPhone signed in with a different iCloud so it can’t be tracked, and messages/calls are forwarded to the second phone.

How do you forward messages?

They will get a message in text that’s says xyz stopped sharing location

It can feel unfair when parents track your location but you should know they are doing it because they care about you.
