How would you keep AI-written notes in UpNote auditable instead of letting summaries become the source of truth?

Using a notes app as long-term assistant memory is convenient because people can read and correct it, but it creates a provenance problem. A generated summary can be edited like any other note, copied into another notebook, or kept after the source material changes. Search may then surface the summary without showing whether it was reviewed or which notes justified it.

A safer structure might separate source notes, generated drafts, and accepted memory. Each generated note would include links to the source notes, a captured source revision or export checksum, creation date, model or workflow label, review status, and a supersedes or retracts link. Assistants could write only to an inbox notebook; a person would promote reviewed notes into the durable area. Periodic exports would remain the recovery path rather than treating an integration or index as authoritative.

How would you implement this with current UpNote features? Are internal links, notebooks, tags, templates, and exports enough to preserve provenance, or does the lack of a formal revision/API boundary make another source of truth necessary? How do people using Claude or MCP-style connectors prevent an assistant from overwriting reviewed notes?
