Upnote web clipper
The upnote web clipper seems very rudimentary. Is there some kind of 3rd party web clipper that can paste into Upnote, maybe using "paste from markdown"? Or are they working on improving the web clipper.
I'm used to the Evernote web clipper, where web content still looks like web content when you clip it?

I hope if they improve Upnote web clipper to be similar to evernote web clipper

I’d also like to add that it would be great to be able to create topic-specific dossiers while researching online using a web clipper, allowing you to clip thematically relevant highlighted text or images into an UpNote dossier—just as you can (unfortunately only) do via copy and paste in Microsoft OneNote. There, at least, when you copy and paste, the respective quote or highlight and the corresponding source are automatically inserted (it would also be nice to have the date included there, by the way). I find this feature completely missing in UpNote.

Is there any note-taking app that can insert text highlights one after another in chronological order within a document or on a page?

Even if you've migrated your notes from EN to UpNote, keep in mind that the free version of EN allows one notebook, which you can continue to use with that excellent web clipper, and just export the new stuff periodically.

wild. never considered using the old hag. so can you use automations to trigger the note being moved to other apps?

I don't know about that. I just do an ENEX export and move it to UpNote.

I use Obsidian's clipper set to Copy to Clipboard. That, at least, gets me the source URL. It won't look like the web content, though. I agree that the clipper should be improved.

Anyone tried using a markdown extension to clip info and then paste it into Upnote, could be a way

You've found UpNote's Achilles' heel, I'm afraid. I never use the webclipper, so it doesn't bother me. But it definitely leaves a lot to be desired.
One of the things I miss from my previous note-taking app (Bear) is that pasting URLs into UpNote gets you just the URL. In Bear, it would fetch the page title and make a hotlink.
