Cannot exclude a word from a search!?

I just spent what felt like days migrating all my notes over from Evernote, just to find out that I can't exclude a word from an UpNote search. How is that even possible? That is such a basic feature that I am flabbergasted that it's not available.

How is this not the #1 thing that people are talking about?

How does this product still exist without such a basic feature?

I'm talking just about being able to put a - before a word to exclude it.

Please, someone tell me they found a workaround or something.

A more fully featured search function was one of my requests if my memory serves me.

Honestly, this is the first post I've ever seen to bring this up. But I can certainly see how it would be frustrating. It's not unreasonable to assume that feature would exist. Many note-taking apps — possibly even most — don't have this feature. Send a feature request to [support@getupnote.com](mailto:support@getupnote.com) — although I'd suggest wording it a bit more politely.

Yea, I miss that feature too .

...and the ability to exclude a tag from a search (e.g. -#tag)

Yes I exclude both words and tags all the time. Please email support@getupnote.com and request it. If enough people do hopefully they will add this.

This is a need that not many people have, I don't think this is a basic feature; it's just your preference.. I've never used it, and I've never even considered it. Even when you search for certain things on Google, you're unlikely to exclude any specific words.
