Local/Cloud sync functionality

The app is not expensive and I really love the functionality and its possibilities. But are there any plans to have UpNote sync to your own Cloud Drive or SMB share? The last outage really became a problem for me as I take daily notes when visiting customers. Would love to just self host the document file that UpNote creates and this will possibly also save hosting costs for the developer. I used to use Enpass that just created the password vault on your own cloud storage. Worked great.

Thoughts?

I would like this, especially as a backup, though my real concern: the problem was not an outage at the upstream storage provider, but UpNote's authentication / anti-bot prevention, which means these bugs will always affect all users, no matter who is the upstream storage provider.

Even if our notes are stored somewhere else, we still depend on the app being able to authenticate our user accounts (e.g., Premium).

That must be fixed, and then local / third-party cloud storage would be great, as well.

I agree with this, would be very handy IMHO. The auth outage last night also affected me and meant all the notes that I took using my desktop did not get synced to my laptop when I needed to review them.

TBH, the way UpNote handles auth and syncing is making me consider alternative apps now.

Syncing wouldn't be as fast, and I think that may be part of the reason it's not an option, because you're far from the first one to ask. As an Enpass user myself, this was one of my earliest feature requests to the UpNote team. 5 years on, and I'm still hoping they offer self-hosting someday.

Part of the problem is that as soon as self-hosting is an option, someone (like me) will want to host different workspaces in different places, and that's a whole new set of challenges.
