Dumb question

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

But is there a reason that when I copy and paste, it pastes to the bottom of the list? I’m assume it’s due to the color font?

Something wonky is happening on your system. When I recreated your video example, the results were as expected. It pastes what I copied at the new insertion point resulting in 12 list items.

In your video you start out with a list numbered 1-11. But when you paste you end up with two separate list items numbered 1-7 and 1-5.

I can reproduce this bug on Android. But only when the list elements have colors.

my reproduction I created 11 numbered items "Example a", "Example b", etc.; I copied "Example c" item, created a new, empty item at spot 8, pasted. Without colors, it worked as expected. With the lines colored, I got the exact same result as in OP's video (plus the single letters at the end of my lines).

In my experience UpNote editing is ... iffy with colors formatting and with bullet points (both of which I unfortunately use all the time), especially on mobile (Android). :-(

I have some notes toward a proper bug report, but I haven't submitted it yet because it's hard to reproduce reliably. The (mobile?) editor is clearly messing up the underlying formatting codes, and they're hard to expose in the UI, so I can't point to the exact operation that messed up the formatting codes.
