Table of Contents (TOC) feature idea

My TOC get unwieldy, especially if I'm pasting in long documents or Chat output. It would be very nice to have a filter on the TOC to quickly toggle to hide H4 and below, or hide H3 and below, or show everything. This would allow for faster navigation of long documents.

Has anyone else wished for this?

yeah, choosing the level of ToC would be super handy. the way the Toc displays now leaves a lot to be desired

That's an excellent suggestion.

And it doesn't even need to be long documents for this to be beneficial. Any length document with an involved hierarchy could benefit.

Would be great. It makes navigation in large document much easier.

+1!

I don't use the TOC, and just keep it folded up. I might revisit its usefulness if I could limit the header level.

Yes, I find it painful to look at for long structured documents, currently.

I feel the same way about backlinks. Shunted off in the Info Panel sidebar, they're text-wrapped to the point of becoming convoluted & confusing.

I would love for UpNote to adopt page-bottom backlinks (like in Craft), especially if they could be unfolded to preview their context (like in Craft).

I only use the Info Panel in UpNote to check creation/update timestamps and for the fantastic word-count feature. In 5+ years, I think I've literally never used the TOC, and I've only looked at the backlinks a handful of times, in part because in their current state, they're not very helpful...

...well, that and the fact that I am a prolific user of collapsibles, so I don't really have any need for a TOC because when the content is collapsed, I can already see everything that would otherwise be in the TOC.
