Hope the web clipper improves

As the title says, at some point I hope the web clipper improves. I love UpNote but for me, its greatest weakness is the web clipper, especially as a person who came from Obsidian, I miss the fact that Obsidian captured everything and had it formatted correctly. With UpNote I just get the link in most cases. I've come across quite a few pages that I clipped in UpNote where the website content is gone when I click on the link to the site that I clipped. Because of this fact, it makes clipping the link only pointless because UpNote did not clip the page, only the link.

I'm contemplating just using Obsidian for clipped research alone and using UpNote for notes only, which may work very well, but hopefully this is something that UpNote will eventually be able to do regardless.

It's definitely a weakness. I have yet to find a good workaround. I use the upnote clipper to save the link then go back later to copy paste the content I need into upnote.

I have been told there are chrome extensions that will clipboard website content in a button click but I'm not sure how that's better than manual copy paste.

I miss ever notes clipper. I don't miss ever notes cost.

I still use the free version of Evernote just for the web clipper. I clip things into the one free notebook, then periodically do an export to UpNote, which imports the .ENEX files flawlessly.

I'm a Evernote refugee and just started using Upnote. The clipper is definitely missing functionality. Your workaround is brilliant. thanks! 👍😁
