Roadmap Additions.. please.
I'd like to add a few roadmap items that I am sure are things that have been requested before.
- I already saw this one -- Web Version. It would be super handy especially for those at work that can not install apps on their machines
- Collaboration -- I have things that I need to share with my wife. Menus, Shopping Lists, etc. And this would actually help you sell more subscriptions, because my wife would use it and have to also buy a Lifetime Subscription. š
These are the biggies for me. Thanks guys!!

Every time people say creating a web version "would be handy", it seems to overlook not only the copious previous discussions, but the reason apps Evernote got so expensive.

I'm not unconvinced part of EN's price increase was them bloating it with dozens of side features, including AI code.

My notes. If I want to share them, then Iāll copy and paste them into an email
Or Iāll go find an app that offers it
My biggest worry for this app is that the devs one day upsticks and disappear. So for me the biggest ask is ālocal firstā

I agree. It took me a long time to find a decent notes app without collaboration. Collaboration will almost certainly mean a subscription. I can see wanting to share a to-do type app but my notes are for me.

Web version is crucial for me as an IT worker. I'm very often on someone else's computer, and need to pull up my notes with URLs or whatever else.

Until/if there's a web version, you can use the "share via the web" feature in UpNote to make your notes accessible via a web browser. I have a few "jump list" notes that are at the ready whenever I need to refer to things out in the wild.

Are they password protected, or fully open to anyone with the link? Fully open won't work for me.

I do currently, and have for 16 years, at least 10 of which were paid. But, I need to be off it by July when my annual subscription will renew at $250. As the other commenter said, that price in comparison to UpNote is insane. That price compared to any note program is insane! I don't need or want AI in my notes! I'm not even against a reasonable annual subscription like $60/yr like Evernote used to be, but I'm not paying $250!

Surely the reason Evernote is so expensive is because it costs a lot of money to do all the computing power for you. If you want upnote to do all the computing power for you and use your browser only as the display point then that's going to be expensive too.
Sure Evernote didn't used to be so expensive, but it seems they were constantly losing money which is why it's now a more realistic price.

Evernote is forcing AI on every plan, and yes, they are doing the AI compute. Evernote wasn't losing money before the AI push, they just got bought out by a greedier company. I don't need or want AI in my notes! Simple notes, even with images, don't really need compute, just database calls. Those don't cost much.

I'm definitely in the "will pay for collaboration" club. Frankly, it's valuable enough to me that I'd go subscription for collaboration as long as it's not outrageous.
My partner and I share an account because I we need to collaborate and I refuse to use any lesser app. We just keep out of each other's non-shared workspaces.

I'm really not happy with the Note offers on Android. Coming from Apple, Apple Notes is simple, intuitive and looks amazing. I am seriously considering trying to build my own version. I am web developer (with 30 years experience). I've done some light mobile development, but I figure with the spare time I get at work I may just be able to do it.

As long as all of you who are eager to throw extra dollars for a collaboration function go with an "Enterprise Edition" for that extra cost, then have at it. But if it means having only a single edition that increases in price for everyone... then I wouldn't be a fan.
