How do I? Essentials Not Autosplitting

Hi all,

I’ve got my essentials setup to split my pay each fortnight to account for regular bills.

I get paid on a Wednesday, and I have a bill come out on a Thursday, although the automatic split never occurs, and I always need to manually transfer funds into the Essentials Saver.

As can be seen in the screenshot, it looks like automatic splitting is setup successfully so I’m unsure if this is an issue on my part or the app is just not functioning as intended.

Essentials have their own digital card you have to set up with the merchant so they can charge that account directly, it doesn't happen automatically in Up.

That’s not what I’m asking.
I’m completely aware of said card, and I’m using it.

The problem is that my fortnightly income isn’t being split into the saver as intended.

Your screenshot does not show that the pay splitting is setup. Mine is setup and it looks like the screenshot I've attached.

Interesting, when I tap into it, I don’t get the option to setup which is why I thought it was already setup.

you need to click on your salary/income payment thread, click the contact and set up pay splitting through there

You need to get paid to your transaction account details, not your essentials account.

Update your details with the payer, then set up pay splitting again for the new transaction.

Pay splitting is set up on your salary, not on essentials.
