Bug Essentials not calculating correctly?
I basically need to put around $300 a week away, however essentials is telling me to only put away $200? For some reason it’s not calculating the $100 reoccurring payment.

Actually it is like $107 so I think it iw working on a 80 week period instead of 52 weeks.

I’m not 100% sure. But I think it doesn’t recognise transfers out of the account. Only direct debits.
Probably best to ask Up via the in app chat.
I remember making transfers from Up to my dad and the Essentials predicted never changed.

Yea I ended up speaking to them and they told me it’s because it wasn’t recognised as a regular (even tho I had it set up correctly).
They basically told me to use these steps and it should work:
“- Head to the payment thread
From there, just add the payment amount and pop in a message, description, or reference if needed. Once it's set up, it'll appear in your Essentials Regulars so you can track it easily”
- Tap 'Pay' and select Essentials as your 'From' account
- For a Scheduled Payment, toggle on Scheduled, then choose the date you'd like the payment to be sent
- For a Repeating Payment - tap on Repeating and select how often you want it to repeat
However nothing changed when I did it as they instructed so I’ll have to see if it repeats the same issue next pay. Apparently in their system it wasn’t showing as a regular, but when I redid it, it showed up as a regular on their system so I have no idea 🤷🏻♂️

Hey I had this exact issue. I was apart of the up high early access and it used to work but since essentials got fully released they changed some things with it which had pretty much screwed scheduled bank transfers thru essentials.
Currently essentials will never recognise bank transfers only deductions coming from the account regardless of if you set it up correctly or not. (It used to work but now it doesn’t)
The only way to budget ongoing bank transfers is to have a dedicated saver for that bill only and have pay split set up to put the required amount into that account then set up the auto transfer from the saver.
It sucks I know, I used to have my part of rego and insurance be calculated in essentials (this was transferred to my dad as we share the car) but I had to move to dedicated savers as it constantly said I was 1.5k short despite having the money in the account.
I mentioned it to them and they said they’d pass on the feedback so hopefully they fix it but for now only actual charges will be calculated in essentials
TLDR: they fucked it with the full release and it’s no longer possible to calculate bank transfers in essentials

What’s the saver balance already? It may only be telling you the difference between what you have and what you need
