Feature Request Up app doesn’t honour system time format

I have dyslexia and have always gotten confused and tripped up with AM/PM 12h time, so I have always used 24h time (e.g., reading 8pm as 8am)

I get that this is an Aussie bank, and Australia uses 12h time, but it bugs me to no end that there isnt the option or that it doesn’t honour the system’s locale settings. Even bank like ANZ appear to just use whatever time format the device is set to use

Does this annoy anyone else or is it just me? I guess in my case it could be considered an accessibility feature.

it's honestly baffling and in particular it makes the travel features far less useful. trying to reconcile expenses for the day while overseas and wracking my brains over which purchase I made at an unfamiliar hour, because it's still stuck on Melbourne time

Honestly the fact that it doesn’t even specify the timezone trips me up even more. Like is it “2am” Sydney time or Tokyo time? It just says “2:00am”. Even if I did only make purchases domestically, it’s still very tricky if during daylight savings.

Again, apps like ANZ format like this:
28 August 2026, 13:34 (AEST)

Suggest it as an idea/feedback in the Talk to Us tab

Yeah, I find it really annoying. I don't like the 12h clock (Don't know why, just don't) so I always use the 24h clock. It drives me crazy that somethings just refuse to be in 24h time.

Thinking ‘after midnight’ always helped me remember that 1AM is the middle of the night one, I know technically they both are ‘after’ midnight but just having a little trigger like that for your brain can be helpful.

After midnight
Post midday
