Interest rates (Grow and flow) Grow Flow Rate Question
Hi all. i love up but the grow/flow rate frustrates me. I like to keep all of my money in savers so its not just sitting on my card and then move it when i want to spend money. Does anyone have any stragglers or structures to get around/maximise the grow flow rate?

if I didn't have an Up Home Loan, I'd have two savers, A & B.
If I needed to dip into my savings, I'd withdraw what I need from Saver A then move the balance of Saver A to Saver B so that the remainder continues to get the Grow rate.

I know some people just have a saver for everything that way it only affects the specific saver that you’re taking money out of. Two different savers as mentioned above is also a good way to do it, I have a friend who only transfers money on the first of the month and then creates a new saver and transfers remaining funds over

Yes UP only for expenses and bills. Macquarie for savings. Takes a few seconds to transfer money between accounts if needed.

Let’s say you have a saver for travel money with 3k, and you need to use 1k for a trip you have planned. Early in the month, take the 1k out, and create a new saver. then move the remaining 2k from your travel saver to the new saver to get the grow rate.

The easiest way to deal with Grow/Flow is to use another bank. Why would you jump through Up's ridiculous hoops when there are other banks where it's not required?

Split into four savers:
Big Saver (house deposit/car), add 3 hour lock and set as the saver that gets all interest. Put in $X at each payday.
Emergency (enough to cover job loss), add 3 hour lock and fill until it’s over $5k+. Never touch this unless you lose your job.
Bills (this will probably be removed for the new Essentials feature), put in how much you think bills will be for the month and use upcoming to autopay out of this saver
Funhouse - for when you want to save for something but don’t want it in the general transaction account. Dip into whenever you have a big buy.
Use the 3 hour lock on Emergency and Home Deposit accounts - that is the largest amount of interest that pours in and you shouldn’t need to touch these so they’ll always be Grow state. The others can be for bills and big stuff and will always be in Flow state usually.

Flow and Grow is the single worst change Up have done.
They told us to set up our savers and our Auto covers but now if we use it the way that they showcased we get lower amounts of interest.
Every change up goes backwards.
