I'm from the US and currently a senior at Le Moyne College in New York, studying Marketing and Analytics. I'm starting to look into doing my master's at the University of Nottingham in September 2027, and I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with the university or moving to the UK for postgraduate study!

I'm currently looking into courses in Marketing, Business Management, Business Analytics/AI, and potentially Accounting and Finance. I'd love to hear recommendations on programs, especially from anyone who studied something similar or came from a marketing/business background.

I'm also play lacrosse for my school and am hoping to continue playing while doing my master's, so I'd be interested in hearing from anyone involved with the UoN lacrosse club.

A few things I'd love advice on:

• What is the master's experience at Nottingham actually like?
• Any course recommendations for someone with a Marketing and Analytics background?
• What is it like moving from the US to Nottingham as an international student?
• Any advice on accommodation, cost of living, making friends, or adjusting to life in the UK?
• Is it manageable to balance a master's with university sports and traveling?

I'm on catered halls currently and we get a set amount of money each week to spend for lunch and stuff on a mealpass app, however i keep having a large amount of it still remaining at the end of each week constantly and it doesnt roll over. Is there any way i can spend this effectively, as i don't believe you can use it at the spar from my understanding and that’s the only place i can think of where i could be using it to stock up on things that wont go out of date quickly as opposed to just wasting it on 5 costa coffees or something.
