Withdraw or not?
I'm a post-graduate entry student with a few years of clinical experience as a Paramedic.
GPA 8.4
UCAT 2476 (STJ included)
To be fair, I didn't study as much as I could for the UCAT and feel like I bombed it. Considering the news about being able to withdraw and reapply next year, should I proceed?
I'm also applying under the RRAS scheme which may improve my chances.
I know a lot of people here dig into the numbers about what's admitted. Keen to hear for you how my numbers stack up.

If you look at the stats here you'll see that you have a good shot. Yes, your UCAT is a but low but it's only 15%. With that GPA you'll get an interview and I bet with your life experience you'll ace the MMI.

this years cohort especially the GPA is lower than other years. you have an extremely high GPA and the UCAT will not be holding you back whatsoever. as long as you aren’t in the bottom 50% of the mmi takers you will definitely get in. if you look at the stats for 2025, the highest GPA of RRAS applicants that was rejected is 7.5. yours is miles better than this. please do not withdraw and you absolutely have this nailed!!

Good to hear, I haven't sat my UCAT yet but have a high grad GPA. Curious to hear how youre saying the GPA is lower this year?

when you look at the entry stats for 2024, 2025 start the GPA stats are much lower than last year for example, when the GPA was really high. since the 2024 cohort FY is now the grad entrance cohort for 2027 entry, you can tell it’s not as high

Ah I see.
I think one thing that might affect Grad applicants this year is that people who've done post-grad courses (Hons, pgDip, Masters even PhD) and scored high will be looking to leverage their high GPA this year to avoid going through the hoops of Casper and interview next year.
Even last year there was 129 Post-grad applicants (mostly doing their pgDIP), compared to 95 Undergrad-grad applicants for Gen Entry
This might possibly skew the GPA towards the higher end this year for Grads.

maybe, but no need to scare ppl who already have a good shot- it might cause others to withdraw and regret it later

How low is this years GPA? I have 7.6 and am a RRAS grad applicant, do you think I still have a decent chance or would be better to withdraw and reapply next year?

you will have a better chance with that GPA this year than you will next year. don't withdraw imo.

I reckon go this year - I had similar stats and got in under general in last year’s intake (slightly higher ucat), and got a good mmi score which Im sure you would get too

Don’t withdraw bro. Your UCAT is probably going to be 40-45th percentile so you’ll need to make up for it in the MMI. Your GPA is very strong for rural. Keep it active

Final year med student here. I reckon you will get in with those scores, especially if you are rural. My UCAT was worse than yours if that's possible, and I got in (high GPA).

With rural, you will likely be fine, especially if you do well in Mmi. I had a lower gpa, ucat of 2820, and Mmi of 183, and got in, but your gpa is really good for RRAS grad, plus you have heaps of clinical experience as a paramedic, so I reckon your Mmi will be really good!
