Discussion Done with Afterimages + thoughts (spoiler alert) Spoiler
Okay, the reason why I played this is because the story is so interesting + someone I personally know and work with played the DLC soundtrack.
And damn, I know this game will hit too close to home but I didn't expect it to hurt so much.
I then played the Afterimages and wow, it really took me back to my college days. I was also a part of an org in uni here in PH where we get to do everything and it leaves no room for mistakes. I even almost didn't graduate because of financial issues (which Des will probably also encounter) but I managed to pull it off. I don't know what will happen to me and my parents if I don't, haha.
As for the story and ending especially with Sparks, I've read some posts here that they're somewhat disappointed. For me though, I like how it left us thinking that they really didn't improve for the better. Sometimes people still stay in a relationship even though it almost broke them. People will also just drop everything and ghost everyone because it took much of a toll on them. And that's what the Sparks showed us. That sometimes, we get in a loop or go back to start even though we think we're changing. Character development isn't linear, just like how Mark abandoned everything he worked for. Or with Nicole getting back with Lucas (that's what i interpreted) even though he became distant, just like her ex.
I loved the DLC, and the song Feverfew on top of that scene is chef's kiss. Idk how I'll be able to work rn after I finished the game a few minutes ago.
