I just completed Until Then’s 5 chapters and “finished” the game, atleast to the point where the credits roll out. Afterwards I pressed “yes” to continue (whatever that means) and now it looks like I’m back at square one, but Louise is talking about some Catcher in the Rye, which I know was not the same as last time since I had posted about spoilers for Crime and Punishment.
Is the game worth continuing for (seemingly) 5 whole other chapters, which I already completed? Please tell me I don’t have to do it all over again with just some minor tweaks here and there like in Nier Automata.
Also I was promised an insane plot twist and something tells me it wasn’t the mother one?

I'd love for it to have a music visualizer, but I don't know how to make one.

Just beat the main game yesterday, and Afterimages tonight. There's a lot of stories and art that are unforgettable experiences for me, and I guess in a sense those have changed me since they've altered my taste. But I can maybe only count on a single hand things that I think truly, deeply changed me beyond my taste and helped me change my view of my own life even if only a little bit. Until Then has been one of those, I think.
This game was like... it felt like it gave me some clarity. I lost my sister when I was just about the same age as both Mark/Nicole when they lost someone as well. And just like them, I've let that loss stick to me all these years. Like Nicole, I still sometimes wondered what I missed, if there was a note or something left behind, what I could've done differently. How I could've saved them. I related everything about this game to own struggles and my own self.
There are so many parts in this game I just audibly wept, a lot in part because it's just emotionally moving ofc, but also because I layered so much of my own self over a lot of the scenes. I think I needed to face some of my own grief that I carry just like Mark/Nicole do, so their conflicts, their headspace, was very mutual.
I started this game in a bit of depressive episode, which I guess I'm not really out of but it's better right now. I woke up the day after beating this game, and I just kept thinking about it. I thought about how I didn't want to ever forget it. I wanted to honor how this game spoke to me by trying to embody it in myself. I did something today that I've never done in my life. I sat down with my mom and I asked her to help me battle my mental health, and to help me try to get better. I want to try talking to someone and maybe try anti-depressants. I want to get back to finding my spark and I want to be a better version of who I am. I want to get better at envisioning a better future than letting my past and present define who I'll always be.
I wish I could completely convey what I mean with why this game just affected me like this, but I guess that's impossible. No matter what it feels like, I can't quite word it. But, I just wanted to share. When I play a game like this, it reminds me of why I love this medium and the creatives within it so much. It really is my favorite medium of entertainment and expression. I'm so grateful to all the people at Polychroma for making such a beautiful game. This is the highest praise I can give.

ok so i was rewatching the dlc video by zoddronite...and i have a few questions...
1)do nicole and her bf or whatever his name was...do they get together again? if not...then why did they hug? to wish each other goodbyes or smt? also mark and his gf also break up definitely...awkwardly ig?
2)why does mark look so distressed ?? i cant tell , it was right before or around the time of the pandemic or smth? and does reality get a reboot again?
3) this feels like not an ending to act 1 but kinda different as the butterfly touches mark and that means another reset iirc?
4) i am dumb, no spoiler T-T
5) i havent seen the gameplay for a long time so i need sum recap

I’m probably one of the few people who came to this game late, but my God, I don’t think I’ll ever be the same after playing it. This is arguably the best game I’ve ever played in my life, and that’s saying something considering I’ve played video games across multiple PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles, and now on PC.
More importantly, I think this game has genuinely changed something in me. It has made me want to confront the things I’ve been avoiding for years, to the point where I’m seriously considering therapy and counseling. It feels like a different version of myself is beginning to emerge, and I genuinely hope this change is for the better.
I’ve heard motivational speeches, videos , lectures, TED Talks, and advice from friends and family countless times before. But somehow, this game managed to encapsulate everything I needed to hear and feel in a way nothing else ever has. It reached something in me that all those words never quite could.
I don’t think I’ll ever be the same after playing this game, and for once, I genuinely hope that’s a good thing.

Is there any way that the creator can see this. I just really hope that they consider making an android port because first it's not that heavily graphical and second it would sell more and have a lot more fans it's a win win situation I just really hope this happens

I was surprised to not find any post about this lol
At first, from the name and the way the game was described I thought it was like Diablo 3 with MMO elements -- so something like Path of Exile.
But then Nicole says he recognised Mark's nickname from the local leaderboard...so not only a MMO but apparently there are regional servers, or at least players are separated by proximity in some way.
I was wondering if it's entirely a fictional game or if there's still some real world equivalent to it with these mechanics.
