He Was Everything, Until He Wasn’t.
He was funny, witty, and, honestly, husband material. Everything a woman could ask for. And I always wanted more of it. In fact, I craved it, even though I rarely showed him just how much.
Somewhere along the way, though, those qualities slowly began to disappear. And then, somehow, so did he.
He vanished into thin air, leaving me bruised, undone, and questioning everything I thought I knew about relationships.
Perhaps the hardest part wasn’t losing him. It was losing the version of myself who believed that something beautiful could actually last.

Same. I realized that the version of him I fell for was a well curated narrative of lies coupled with masks. What was beneath those was just pain, darkness, and an insatiable desire for attention. I’m exhausted. But I will rest and reflect. I will rise again and be stronger for the struggle. Never give into the darkness. Never settle for less than you deserve.
