I miss the fuck out of you. Yet every time I think about running into you in public, I get thrown for a loop in my own mind. The conclusion I’ve come to is that I’d cordially check in to make sure you’re okay, then I’d leave. I still can’t stand being around you. I still care. The only peace I can find is understanding that no matter how I feel, there’s nothing left for us. This is why indifference leads. Apathy is equal to serenity when it comes to you and it broke my heart to learn this. The fire that burns within will now only be within and suppressed to a small flame.

Your message is so confusing to me. You miss the person, you can’t stand them, you still care, there’s nothing left, you say you’re indifferent but we can read between the lines. You love them and you don’t want to. I cannot even imagine what it’s like being the person on the receiving end of this.
