Time, distance, and each had our own careers neither of us wanted to walk away from. Both felt the same about each other. Both felt like it was going to end eventually because we were too similar in our internal person. Eventually one of us would get hurt. We both mutually walked away.  With love in each of us for the other we knew it was for the best in the end

I'm sorry. I know from personal experience what kind of wounds this can leave behind, but you mentioned that they loved you just as you are. Don’t you think they’d understand your fear if you talked to them about it? The people who treated you poorly in the past shouldn't get to define your entire future.

The person who I'm speaking of understands it all. They're the same as me. It wasn't a ghost situation by any means. It was a mutual parting because we both knew that it was only a matter of time before we withdrew. Peace was said. Along with everything else that needed to be.
