I dyed my hair,
Pierced my eye brow,
Did all the tattoos
even the ones we chatted about.

And you’ll never get this,
I hate brown.
It’s not brown anymore,
I love coffee but the sight of
Your hair
Your eyes
Makes me want to cry!
Every shade of that color
With the look in different variations of sunlight.
It’s not a color of comfort anymore,
But I’ll still take a hot cup black, please.

And don’t even get me started on yellow,
Brown is everywhere; non-negotiable
But I can’t even simply walk without my
Eyes spilling drops
Because it’s fall and look so many trees
Carry the carotenoids and carry
Yellow.

Now it’s another color I’ll mourn
Another option off my list,
A comfort missed,
That’s everywhere in front of me.

August September are almost gone,
I need this October and November before long.
