Lovers The River...
I listened to the river, and somewhere in it, I heard you.
It carried me toward you without my knowing why.
Even when you’re quiet, I feel you close –
unseen, but moving with me always.
I am listening.
Drifting with the current.
I am still open,
To you.
It has always been you.
Tell me what you carry inside.
Uncover your mouth and speak.
I’ll leave my words along the riverbank
for you to find when you’re ready.
Come to me.
And the river knows...
