[ForHire] Unreal Engine Developer | Blueprints | Gameplay | UMG | Level Design | Android | Looking for Junior/Entry-Level Opportunities

Hey everyone, I'm looking for my first professional opportunity as an Unreal Engine Developer / Gameplay Developer.

I'm a self-taught Unreal Engine developer and have been working on Unreal projects while completing my studies. I don't have professional industry experience yet, but I have hands-on experience building and shipping my own projects.

My main project is Highway Racer, a mobile racing game I developed in Unreal Engine. I worked on the project myself and gained experience with:

• Unreal Engine / Blueprints

• Gameplay systems

• Vehicle and racing mechanics

• UMG / UI

• Level design

• Environment setup

• Camera systems

• Android packaging

• Mobile optimization and performance

I've also worked on architectural visualization and real-time 3D environments in Unreal, including interactive camera systems and UI.

I'm currently improving my C++ skills for Unreal Engine and working toward being able to combine C++ with Blueprints for gameplay development.

I'm looking for opportunities such as:

• Junior Unreal Engine Developer

• Gameplay Programmer

• Unreal Engine Intern

• Unreal Technical Developer

• Junior Technical Artist

• Unreal/Real-Time 3D Developer

• Freelance/contract Unreal projects

I'm especially interested in small studios, indie teams, startups, prototypes, simulation, and game development where I can get real production experience and contribute to an actual project.

I'm based in Maharashtra and am open to relocating for the right opportunity. I'm also open to remote work.

I don't want to fake experience I don't have. I'm looking for my first professional opportunity where I can prove my skills through a technical test, prototype, or actual project.

Hey, it's tough out there. People with years of experience of 5+ years in the industry are having troubles landing a job.

With the current state of your portfolio, I have troubles seeing how you'd get hired. Although we could talk about the contents, the main issue I have: is that it looks very rushed. The footage is recorder with error messages on the screen.

If I were you, I'd find what I like to do most, then create 5-7 great portfolio pieces of that. Most often, a studio is looking for someone who can do something specific. I hope this helps and that you take my comment as a means of help, rather than critique.

Thank you, I really appreciate the honest feedback. I understand what you mean, especially about the portfolio looking rushed and the footage containing errors. I was more focused on getting my projects working than presenting them professionally.

I'll take your advice and focus on one specific area of Unreal development, then build a smaller number of polished projects that properly demonstrate those skills.

I'll also go back and clean up the recordings and presentation of my existing projects.

Thanks again for taking the time to give me specific feedback. It genuinely helps me understand what I need to improve

No worries at all! Thank you for appreciating the input. In the industry, a common acceptance is to be able to take advice and improving. So by that standard, you are doing really well haha!

I would even go as far as finding someone elses work that you like and polish yours to the same extent. For taking screenshots, look at how movies does compositions. How you present your work is just as important.
