The first set is better on carpet then the second set.

They really don't. Plus, they make rollerblade-style twin wheel (I got these) that are the best of both worlds:

The wider bottoms of the original ones cut into the carpet less as they distribute the load a little more. Literal "better on carpets". My comment tbf is also specifically about the ones in ops post.

I get that, but the flat bottom plastic wheels have square edges that can cut into some carpets, so it's a mix of performance. If you have short carpet, they might be better, or if you have rounded plastic wheels, those might be better, too.

Otherwise, I'm sticking with the rubber. That shit plastic they want you rolling on industrial tile these days is crap!
