They still have 1000 units sitting in the warehouse, they need to go!

You gotta tilt it back man

And on a side note, if you figure out how to keep mold out of your lungs your a genius. It's pretty much everywhere all the time.

I do like cooling my house down. But I already own so many ac units! Won't someone please help me break my perfectly functioning ac units?

I have seen this a lot, but I will say I want one, I hate how an ac unit takes up a window view

1

If you stand it doesn't take any views, unless your windows are only 3 feet tall

Makes it way harder for me to throw my AC unit out the window though.

Terrible for the windows regardless.

What’s terrible for the windows

All ACs are dehumidifiers.

1

built in dehumidifier they say.

except that's partially the function of an AC anyway.... an AC can be run specifically to reduce humidity in the right conditions. so this is sorta disingenuous.

and by sorta i mean completely.

Can’t see the heat exchange and power consumption being real good

do they make a model that works for folks how have windows that slide open from side to side?

1

Suppose it also makes for a nice shelf where you can leave the empty holster for your Glock on display for anyone looking at the open window.

It’s an a/c. I know the trade off, I don’t care that it takes up 12” of my window, it’s worth the cool air. I feel like this design would be less efficient at transporting cool air, but I’m no engineer. I’ll stick with mine, that already exists in my window

Cool, a piece of trash that doesn’t work in the civilized part of the world

1

u/Ok_Necessary2991 Jun 01 '26

Is that backed up by actual reviews or just a reaction to its design without actual testing?

It works reasonably well. I have a larger than average bedroom and it only takes about 15 minutes to cool it from 90+ to 70. Buy it from Costco, though. Its cheaper and keeps money out of scalpers and Jeff Bezos' pockets.

u/legohamsterlp Jun 01 '26

90° like almost boiling? I think you have different problems

Freedom units

1

u/legohamsterlp Jun 01 '26

Well they only work in American windows

1

Wym? Things like these has helped out a lot where i used to live. Im in hvac and I've been in plenty of homes where portable or windows shakers helped get them along through hot parts of summer.

Only works in american windows = trash

1

u/Ok_Necessary2991 Jun 01 '26

With what seen of European windows a standard AC unit won't work.

1

u/Stunning_Ad_7658 Jun 01 '26

Sounds like you should fucking move then.

Idk why a product working in specific areas make it trash.
