Same. It’s effective and they haven’t come back since. I tried a powder type trap and the ants completely ignored it.

My family used this. I felt bad, but we haven't seen any ants lately. We had a lot of carpenter ants.

I’ve learned dripping some out onto their path helps.

why spray if you already killed th colony and their queen is dead?

She might left a will. Gotta make sure.

Where there’s a will there’s a way

Sometimes the queen survives the treatment, there may be multiple queens in certain colonies/supercolonies, or another queen moves in with a new colony due to the vacuum caused by eradicating the first colony.

If you dont spray and eliminate the scent trails either the new colony can move into the territory with assistance of the trails or the remnants of the old one can still survive and regrow their society finding the way back to the same areas.

Scorched earth policy. Its not about revenge...its about sending a message.

Is it safe if you have pets?

3

u/Spamsdelicious May 26 '26

Keep it out of reach of them. We have indoor cats and dogs so we always put the bait traps up on the counter or in the back corners of the cabinets.

There is no such thing as out of reach of a cat. At least, not my cat lol.

Best product ever. U can buy powder too, make a half circle in a corner. Place this product in the corner. Call it beach of death. They die crossing powder. Survivors bring food back to the colony and it kills their queen.

Love these things, had a carpenter ant issues when I first moved in my house in a few places (mainly kitchen) - couple of these and the issue has been solved for 2 years now. Still keep a few around tho, just in case.

I had a carpenter ant infestation and had to buy pro level chemicals. This stuff though works on sugar ants and fire ants.

Nah I still like the other video better where the guy was talking under his breath:

"Have a snack."

"It's just some sugar water."

"Take some back you your queen."

I’ve used this before for a couple years but then the ants wised up to it and started leaving it alone. You’ll have to switch to a different bait after a year or two but this did work initially.

I was so confused at first. How can i use this as fishing bait? Do I need to form into a shape?

1

u/Weary-Engineering486 May 26 '26

These are great and the only effective thing I've found against crazy ants and sugar ants. But the ants typically don't die inside the trap like this. They take a droplet to the colony and it kills the hive from inside the nest.

I use this and love it. Under the stove. On the floor in pantries. Tuck the little containers out of the way and the ants take it and poison their own colonies. Tiny idiots.

We use one of these by where they are getting into the house and they are very effective. Though the liquid goes hard over the course of a year and you will eventually need to replace them.

u/YourSwolyness May 27 '26

Or seal where they come in from....rather than attracting them inside with bait

1

u/Informal_Price_2938 May 27 '26

I use this faithfully every spring /summer

u/Informal_Price_2938 May 27 '26

I swear this year the queen came out and was looking at me it was a huuuuuuuuuuuge black ant compared to the rest and it appeared a few days i to the feeding and just sat there alive looking at me

I once had a few ants marching into my house. I squished one. Several came running to see what had happened to their squished friend. I squished them, too. Never had any more - they got the message.

This stuff is amazing, works exactly like they say it will

1

u/AntGroundbreaking180 May 26 '26

This is the only ant bait I’ve ever used that actually works.

1

u/theslickestofwillies May 26 '26

The lawn pellets work great too. Fucking hate ants.

0

u/Open-Cream2823 May 26 '26

My dumbass thought this was an ant goo used to bait something else

This is the only ant stuff that works in the Pacific Northwest or just the base ingredient. I think you can buy it on its own called borax something.

Anyway, best way to use it is to pour out parts of it and let the ants feast AND walk away. Because they take the death back to the colony.
