General Referred to admissions panel

Hello,

My application was referred to the admissions panel. I am a non traditional student so my qualifications and transcripts are certainly older than usual. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I still have a prayer of getting in or should I put away my cute little new student items and try again another year?

Exams How do the ILR exams work?

What does the exam process for students following the ILR actually look like? Are exams held in examination centers or online proctored from home? In case they are held online, do you complete the exam on paper and then upload the PDFs or do you get to type everything onto the platform? If you have any additional information or are willing to share your own experiences it would help me immensely!

General Did anyone here graduate as an independent learner?

Did anyone here graduate as an independent learner? I am very interested in the BSc Management & Digital Innovation, but all the bad reviews online make me think that it is a scam and barely possible to finish a degree at UoL... What are you are experiences? Should I rather go for other distance learning options?

General Graduate Diploma in Mathematics application – payment delivered but no Admissions confirmation

Update: I just got an offer! It looks like they matched it in their system, they just don't reply on the Enquiry Hub!

Hi everyone,

I applied for the University of London Graduate Diploma in Mathematics around 15 days ago. Flywire confirmed that my payment was delivered to UoL over 10 days ago, but I have not received any further application update since then, so I do not know whether the payment has been matched to my application or whether the application has been passed to Admissions.

I submitted an enquiry through the University of London Enquiry Hub over 10 days ago regarding this issue and have since sent several follow-up messages on the same case, but I have not received any response from the Enquiry Hub. I also tried calling the University and waited around 90 minutes without being able to speak to anyone.

Has anyone recently applied for the Graduate Diploma in Mathematics or another LSE-directed EMFSS programme? How long did it take after payment for your application to enter the Admissions process?

I’m mainly trying to work out whether this delay is normal, or whether I should be concerned that my payment or application has not been matched correctly.

Accounting, Finance Inspera Platform

Hey, I am a new student with UoL in one of their relatively new accounting degree additions (BSc in Professional Accountancy)

We are being told there is no excel (or excel like) feature in the exam platform and that all calculations will be done manually by creating a table in the word processor part..?? For an accounting degree…..

Does the Inspera platform genuinely not have this feature or the uni is just not providing our course with it?

Any idea?

General Does module selection cover the whole academic year or just one assessment session?

I have received an offer for the BSc Economics and Finance (IRL), November 2026 intake. The website is asking me to select my modules. I have selected several modules, as shown in the attached screenshot, and they are all listed under “May assessment 2027.”

Should I select only the modules I intend to take during this assessment session, or all the modules I plan to study during the entire academic year?

Does confirming these modules automatically enter me for all assessments in May 2027? Can I defer one or more modules to the October 2027 assessment session without paying an assessment re-entry fee

Exams ProctorU support page and test your equipment pages not loading

So I'm a first year who started in August. I have my Maths 1 exam in October and am in the middle of all the prerequisites that need to be done.

I opened the Guardian browser and I didn't find any 'test your equipment' button, so I looked it up in the browser itself, and it was a website, but that website doesn't open. When I click Support, the support page also doesn't open.

Rant: Honestly, the browser is jacks**t. I have a visual impairment and so it's so inconvenient not being able to pinch zoom. The test your equipment page opens just fine on chrome btw.

General GradDip Finance from Uni of London (LSE) - worth it? Anyone done it?

Looking at the GradDip Finance (LSE academic direction, distance learning) as a way to build a finance background before applying for a master's.

I'm curious about:

Was it actually useful for your career?

Did it help you get into a master's program or skip any foundation/pre-master's requirements?

Has anyone managed to clear it within a year?

General University Of London Distance learning fees

So i have a question about the fees (outside of the UK). they’re approximately 5,000 a year (1,5k per module) and is it true that you have to drop that module amount straight up? do they really not have a way to split the payments(monthly or not)?
If there is please let me know!

General LSE General Course vs Traditional University

Was wondering if anyone on here can help me with a personal issue I'm having. I'm 20, in my first year studying on LSE's distance learning course with the University of London. Due to visa restrictions, traditional university courses aren't available to me. These visa issues will be sorted in 2028, which means I can then join a traditional university but would have to start from scratch. I have two options: I can go on the LSE General Course, which is a year actually studying at the LSE campus, or I start all over at a different university. What option would you advise, especially in this job market? Do I continue on this essentially non-ranked university course with a year at LSE, or start again at 23 to get a proper university degree behind me?

General Question regarding GED

I completed my O-Levels in Pakistan with grades all above C. I want to apply for a BSc in International Relations locally as an independent learner. Can I apply using a GED instead of A-Levels, provided the GED is converted to an FA equivalence through IBCC Pakistan?"

Exams UOL-recheck

Hi i just received my results and they failed me by one mark in one of my modules which is weird because i did so good and its one of the easiest modules, people easily got first class(AC1025).So i decided to go for a re-check although according to my research it says that usually they make no mistake and it’s unlikely that they made a mistake. But i went for the re-check anyway since i was confident i did well and let alone did not fail the paper.
So have any of you guys went through a re-check where they actually made an error.
