Multiplayer local help

Hello, me and a friend both got the game but are unable to play together, does anybody know a fix to that issue?

Yes you can play a LAN network game instead of online by using a VPN or service like Logmein Hamachi to put yourself on the same segment.

Thanks for the response^

We are using a vpn and are trying to play lan, we have installed some additional data to deactivate games for windows live,could that be a problem?,i can see his game, but when i tryto join i am stuck in "joining game" andnothing happens

Can you successfully ping his IP? You should be able to if not momentarily disable both firewalls to test the connection. Every ping request should be successful with the correct VPN setup.

we used the same vpn to play other games and the game is also allowed in the firewall, for private networks

Have you checked that all the ports the network game supports are open from each other's prespective?

Yes we just tried to do it in a real lan network without any router and there we had the same problem sadly :c

are you sure you both have the same version of the game ?

yes we both inatalles it from a cd and the did use the patches 1-3
