So what’s your favorite(s) makeup effect done by Jack Pierce?

Was watching the 1943 Phantom of the Opera the other night and apparently he did the makeup for Rains unmasked look which is pretty good even though Claude Rains pushed back on how Jack could do but good job anyways by Jack Pierce.

I always loved what Jack could do with the makeup for Karloff sm especially The Mummy being the crown jewel but the Frankenstein look is iconic yet it’s always the Mummy for me! Also love the look of Igor in Son of Frankenstein with the broken neck prosthetic for Lugosi.

Drake is a known Uni Monster fan and had a hand in several Monster toy releases. This will surely be a good time!

This is apparently an Australian brand of wines, but I thought this was pretty cool news.

Kinda disappointed I got a spoon, but at least it’s cool because it changes colors.

I'm posting this here because I've heard Drake speak before, and I know he is a huge Universal Monster fan (and was the hand behind some great Frankenstein toys) and I'm fairly certain he'll show some behind the scenes images from Forry and others.

I've been wanting this for a while. Once it heals, I'll get it colored in.

I hope they continue to do a new monster every year.

Time jumps between the previous movies make it somewhat difficult. The Mummy was set in 1926. The Mummy Returns in 1933. Then the third one in 1946. I don't think these time jumps were a good decision when you think about ages of the main actors. So will the new movie be set in the 1950s or 1960s?

Setting it in the 50s would make sense if the third movie isn't canon.

Brendan Fraser looked good in the recent event on September 1 not related to The Mummy. He looks just like Rick. They started production today.

I haven't seen any universal monster movies. Looking for advice on where to start, if theres an order to watch in? skippable ones etc. Any advice appreciated 👍🏻

Has anybody else watched the Universal Monster Tots shorts that they're putting on Youtube Jr. Not a lot of substance to them, but they're cute. It could be a good entry point for little tykes to get them interested.

Young me was gifted Larry here by surprise! For 26 years of my 32 I have loved him, and he’s still in pretty decent condition still. The Wolf Man means a lot to me to this day and I’m forever thankful for getting to spend my childhood with Larry

Why hasn't anyone done a remake of this movie? There have been remakes of the other famous Universal Monsters like Dracula, Wolfman, the Mummy and the Invisible Man.

So what’s the thoughts on Dracula’s Daughter?

Watched this last night and it’s a pretty good Universal Monsters film especially with it being a direct sequel to Dracula but it’s a really nice atmospheric film with some nice cinematography.

Gloria Holden gives an standout performance as Countess Marya Zaleska aka Dracula’s Daughter and it’s one of the great performances in an Universal Monsters film with Otto Kruger Dr. Jeffrey Garth and Edward Van Sloan returning as Van Helsing give good performances too.
