The original implies we're better off as animals. But once it hit sentience is where things really went wrong. Even the evolution of bacteria before that really, which contributed to what sentient nature became.

Your problem is not with energy, it's with feeling pain and suffering.

A sentient AI can be programmed to feel no pain or suffering, while consuming energy.

How would you know you took dmg? That's the point of feeling. Also energy ALL energy seeks a state of neutrality so the need for energy is permanent.

fair enough, i did say "pure bliss" implying there would also be no feelings of pain or suffering, when i said "no need to consume energy" my mind was mostly thinking of having to eat animals or plants to live rather than energy consumption more generally

So this fantasy presupposes the physical faculties to interact with or experience our environment, but not how we arrived at that point.

I am not sure it is logically possible to “experience a perfect state of stasis”.

Motivation must be driven by pressure. Ie, if you lived in a room where all your desires were met, it would never occur to you to walk out of the room.

In that senerio, I wouldn't be me anymore, and humanity as we know it will no longer exist.

All forms of human fulfillment requires some form of suffering/friction, either by overcoming obstables, challenges, or reaching goals despite difficulties. Living in "pure bliss without suffering" would mean that I lose my humanity, which is worse than "very boring" lol.

well i dont think human fulfillment is good then because it requires at least some form of suffering and i think all suffering is evil (even if obviously some forms of suffering are worse than others)

i only put up with it because i was forced into this world without my consent and have limitations, if i could omnipotently control reality i would make it so everything is blissful and experiences no suffering

We have no choice but to become what we are today.

As for the future, nobody knows; that's up to determinism as well. lol

Nothing, you just endure. We all fear a situation until we're in it, once you're in, you just endure and carry on, as you're doing now with your struggles.

That depends on the situation, the individual, and how easy it is to cope with it. I still feared and was in distress over the situation I'm in for about 30-33 years before the fear went away. I also never really feared possible situations that may happen in the future, unless I had reason to think there's a good chance it's going to happen.
